Firebug
"A Christian burial, indeed, he received, though unworthy of it; but it did not much benefit him: for issuing, by the handiwork of Satan, from his grave at night-time, and pursued by a pack of dogs with horrible barkings, he wandered through the courts and around the houses while all men made fast their doors, and did not dare to go abroad on any errand whatever from the beginning of the night until the sunrise, for fear of meeting and being beaten black and blue by this vagrant monster." -William of Newburgh

About
Kendall, or Firebug as they are most often called, wasn't always the terror of Edensin. They were once just a somewhat neglected outcast child—their dad busy with work and their mom seemed untrustworthy. With no one else to turn to, they went to the other town outsider: a man by the name of Postal Dude. They have followed him for the past seventeen years, and that eventually wound up killing them. After the events of Apocalypse Weekend, Champ, now in his mutated El Perro Loco form, found them in the rubble and drug them down to hell, where they died and subsequently got brought back to life through the dark forces and radiation beneath Paradise. They clawed their way back to the surface during Paradise Lost and, after surviving a second nuclear blast, now terrorizes the streets of Edensin, raining hell upon anyone who so much as mildly irritates them.
On top of undead immortality, Firebug has pyrokinesis that fluctuates in power along with their emotional state. The more overwhelmed by emotions they are, the stronger the flames become. Beyond that, they have the strength of an average young adult, as well as a loadout of weapons consisting of a revolver, a knife, and a makeshift flamethrower. They also carry lighter fluid and matches. Moths are passively attracted to them at all times, and it isn't uncommon to see them covered in dozens of them.
Bearing a violent temperament and a fear of being abandoned, Firebug is prone to acts ranging from mildly hurtful to harsh cruelty. They take out their anger by hunting down people they seem unworthy of life, which can include sexual predators, child abusers, and police. When not actively causing harm, they're usually just trying to relax. Their speech tends to be full of stuttering and repetition.

Postal Dude
Familial, dad
Dude never really wanted to be a dad before Firebug showed up. He honestly didn't even care much for them when they first started following him around, not really doing much for the kid apart from keeping them out of harm's way as much as possible. During the events of Apocalypse Weekend, he sheltered them underground in the military base, hoping that would be enough to protect them from the imminent atomic blast. During the end of Paradise Lost, he was so caught up in the absolute mayhem of the apocalypse that he forgot to take them with him, and realized he actually felt guilty about this about a year into his course to Edensin.
Currently, he and Firebug live their own separate lives in Edensin. Still, despite the several instances of accidental and intentional abandonment, their bond has only grown stronger. He's still not the best at showing fatherly love, though.

This is a list of headcanons and fun facts for this self-ship AU. There will be no particular order to these, and no consistency to the subject matter. Consider it an infodump of sorts. It will receive regular updates.

Firebug has physical scars from being killed by Champ, though they're always hidden from view. Mentally though, they still aren't afraid of dogs, especially now that they're already dead. They have absolutely tried to tame hellhounds before.
Firebug is completely immune to fire damage. It isn't uncommon to see them just standing around on fire as if nothing is wrong.
It is extremely rare, but if pushed far enough, Firebug will begin to generate ice instead of fire. No one has ever seen this, but they claim it to be true.
